Arrests made in string of Glasco home invasions

A Glasco couple were arrested last week in connection with a string of home invasions that started in July 2013 in Glasco.
Cloud County Sheriff Brian Marks said deputies had been investigating a number of home invasions in Glasco, and on Jan. 8 made contact with Zachary R. Melton, 25, and his wife Skyi M. Melton, 25, both of Glasco. The Meltons were taken into custody, he said, and after extensive interviews, both admitted to the multiple burglaries, including several that had not been reported to law enforcement.
Zachary Melton gave deputies the burglary locations and what property he had stolen, Marks said, as well as where some of the property had been taken or sold.
One piece of stolen property was located in Glasco, and resulted in the arrests of Anthony N. Pellent and Clinton T. Parks, both of Glasco.
Pellent and Parks were charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Distribution of Methamphetamine, and Manufacturing of Methamphetamine.
Marks said most of the stolen property has been recovered and returned to its owners. Deputies are continuing to search for the remaining property. Value of the stolen property was estimated at more than $12,000.
