Death ruled a suicide
The death of a rural Glasco woman, Cheryl Rogers, in January has been ruled a suicide, according to a press release from Cloud County Sheriff Brian Marks.
On Sat., Jan. 23, Cloud County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to 236 Eagle Road, in southwest Cloud County, where they found Rogers ,30, injured by a gunshot. She was transported to Mitchell County Hospital, where she later died.
Marks said after an extensive investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Cloud County Sheriff's Department, Rogers' death was ruled a suicide. Polygraph tests were conducted on numerous individuals, Marks said, including the only witness, Cheryl Rogers' husband, John Doyle Rogers.
"From the investigation and all of the tests that were administered, the results indicated conclusive evidence that no other persons were responsible in the death," Marks said.
