Police Dept. Report
Theft—Gilbert D. Walbridge, Concordia, reported theft of items from the 100 block of East 2nd that occurred sometime between 10 p.m., Thursday, June 25, and 7 a.m., Friday, June 26.
Kayle W. Vancampen, Clifton, reported theft of items from her vehicle in the 200 block of West 9th Street. Theft occurred sometime after 11 p.m., June 25, and before 2 p.m. on the 26th.
Officers investigated a report of theft from a room at the Econo Lodge, on June 27, at approximately 6 p.m. Paul S. Herrick, Lakeview, Ark., reported several items missing from that location. Investigation continues.
Damage to property—Castle Rock, Concordia, reported damage to property in the 900 block of West 11th Street at approximately 3:15 p.m., June 26. Unknown time frame of when damage occurred.
Officers investigated a report of damage to property in the 900 block of east 7th Street at approximately 3:30 a.m., June 29. Jordan E. Michels, Guide Rock, Neb., reported damage to his vehicle at that location.
Hit and run—Officers investigated a hit and run accident at approximately 2 p.m., June 28, in the 400 block of West 9th Street. A legally parked vehicle owned by Jeremy E. Mildfeldt, Concordia, was struck and damaged at that location.
Arrests—While on a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Olive Street, June 28, at approximately 7 p.m., officers arrested Richard R. Knapp, 23, Concordia, charging him with driving while suspended, possession of a controlled substance and a Cloud County warrant for failure to appear.
Officers arrested Amber Sue Kindel, 20, Concordia, at approximately 12:01 a.m., June 29, in the 900 block of Republican on a City of Concordia Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear.
Fire Dept./EMS Report
At 11:44 a.m., Sunday, Medic-1 responded to Mt. Joseph and transported one patient to Cloud County Health Center.
At 2:58 p.m., Sunday, Medic-3 and Medic-1 responded to the 100 block of Ash Street in Glasco and transported one patient to Mitchell County Hospital.
Sheriff’s Dept. Report
Arrest—Sheriff Deputy arrested William E. Carey, Concordia, June 26, for probation violation. Carey was released to Republic County for an outstanding warrant.
Theft—Patricia J. Griffin reported, June 27, to the sheriff department that her vehicle had been burglarized. Items stolen included compact discs and money. Damages and losses are estimated at $500.
Non-injury accident—On June 27, a northbound Dodge driven by Blake C. Spear, Jamestown, struck a deer on 40th Road north of Union. Damages sustained were less than $1,000 with no injuries reported.
