Police Dept. Report
Theft—Roger B. Schmidt, Russell, reported at 2:40 p.m., Sept. 6, that his vehicle had been stolen from the 200 block of East 8th Street sometime after 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 5th. Vehicle was located in Mitchell County. Investigation continues.
Brittany Moore, Concordia, reported Theft of a Vehicle owned by Donald Hartley, Concordia, at approximately 10 a.m., Sept. 8. Vehicle was taken from the 100 block of East 7th Street sometime after 5 a.m.
Accident—Officers investigated a two vehicle accident on Sept. 6 at 3:15 p.m. in the parking lot at 102 West 5th. A vehicle driven by Kevin J. Barrett, Jamestown, struck a parked vehicle owned by Jane E. Demanette, Concordia. No injuries were reported.
Arrests—Officers doing a routine traffic stop on Sept. 7 at 1:20 a.m. in the 700 block of Archer Street arrested William Anthony Sallee, 28, and James Harold Young, 44, both of Concordia. Both Sallee and Young were transported to Cloud County Corrections and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Distribution of a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school, Possession of a Contolled Substance and Use of a Telecommunications Device to Sell or Distribute Illegal Drugs. Sallee was also charged with Driving While Suspended.
Officers did a traffic stop at 12:31 p.m. on a vehicle taken from the 100 block of East 7th Street resulting in the Arrest of Matthew McNutt, 27, Concordia. McNutt was transported to Cloud County Corrections and charged with Criminal Deprivation of Property and Driving While Suspended.
Citation—Officers doing a traffic stop at 11:40 a.m., Sept. 7 at West 5th Street and State Street cited and released Rigo Morin, 24, for No Driver's lLcense and No Headlights.
