Lowrey to retire

 After 17 years with the Concordia Area Chamber of Commerce, Roberta Lowrey has announced her plans to retire at the end of the year.
Lowrey, the president of the Chamber, said it is time for her to focus on other things.
 "I have appreciated the support of the community as I have worked at the Chamber," she said. "We have a terrific community here with some wonderful people, and loads of potential."
 Lowrey said she wants to thank the countless volunteers who have helped on past and present boards and committees.
 "I know the Chamber board of directors will be mindful of the needs of the whole Chamber as they pursue a replacement for the office," she said.
 Lowrey said she and her husband Richard plan to remain in the community.
