Dennis Leon Marvin, 63 years of age, of Concordia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Tuesday morning, April 23, 2013. He was born on Aug. 1, 1949, in Hays to E. Leon and Laurene (Friess) Marvin. Dennis retired after more than 30 years from the BNSF Railroad.
 Dennis is survived by two sons, Joshua Brooks and wife Mayra and Kaleb Marvin, all of Concordia; two grandchildren, Lili and Carson Brooks; four brothers, Gerald of LaCrosse, Gayle and wife Cecelia of South Berwick, Maine, Verle and wife Diane of LaCrosse, Merle and wife Deanna of Holdrege, Neb.; and two sisters, Susan Sharp and husband Gerry of Mankato, Nancy Donnell of Ft. Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
 Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2013, in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia with the Rev. Msgr. Barry Brinkman officiating. Interment will be in the Morrison Cemetery southwest of Concordia. Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2013, with a Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m. in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia.
 Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Meadowlark Hospice or the Cloud County Health Center, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at  Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia in charge of arrangements.
