Dorothy M. Strait, age 87, of Concordia, Kan., died Saturday, Oct. 12, at Cloud County Health Center.
She was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Concordia, Kan., to Walter and Mildred (Bechtel) Largent. She married Rex Strait Sr. Sept. 5, 1942, at Mankato, Kan. She worked as a cook for USD #333 and was an Avon representative. Dorothy is survived by children: Dennis (Susan) Strait of Olathe, Kan., Michael (LaDonna) Strait of Dickinson, Texas, Robert (Geralyn) Strait of Emporia, Kan., William Strait and friend Carol Jones of Jamestown, Kan., Gary  (Cynthia) Strait of Concordia, Kan., Bruce (Bonnie) Strait of Jamestown, Kan., Carolyn (Alan) Altepeter of Brazil, Ind., Kathy Drury of Concordia, Kan., Heidi (Michael) Boyer of Concordia, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Strait of Concordia, Kan.; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; two cats, Midnight and Lucky; siblings: Bob (Georgia) Largent of Concordia, Kan., Bill Largent of Redding, Calif., Francis (Jacque) Largent of California, Esther Williams of Ft. Worth, Texas, Shirley (Dick) Hodges of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ruth Hudsonpillar of Edinburgh, Texas.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Strait Sr., sons, Terry Strait and Rex Strait Jr.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at The Baptist Church in Concordia, Kan., with Pastor David Fabarez officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
 Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Nutter Mortuary Chapel with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be given to O'Connor Animal Shelter or Concordia Senior Center.
