Eugene Andersen, age 97, of Concordia, Kan., formerly of Jamestown, died Friday, November 15, 2013. He was born Dec. 9, 1915, at Buffalo Gap, S.D. to Lawrence and Florence (Rold) Andersen. He lived in California until he moved to Jamestown in the 80;s to be closer to his daughter.
 Eugene loved photography and was a member of the Selma Camera Club. He took a lot of pictures of his family and of nature. He also enjoyed gardening–growing vegetables and flowers; liked bowling on a league with his sons and friends; doing crossword puzzles; watching sports; reading and fishing.
 He is survived by his children: Larry (Marilyn) Andersen–Ceres, Calif.; Donna (Ritch) Farrell–Concordia, Kan.; Clayton (Debbie) Andersen–Stevenson, Calif. daughter-in-law, Sandra Andersen–Durant, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
 He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Marvin, Duane & Glen; one son, Dennis Andersen.
 Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Nutter Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, with family present from 6-8 p.m.  Graveside funeral service will be in Selma, Calif.
