GENE E. LAHODNY
Gene E. Lahodny, son of Ernest Lahodny and Merle (Anderson) Lahodny was born June 23, 1937 at Belleville, Kan. and passed away on December 19, 2013 at Salina, Kan., at the age of 76 years, five months and 26 days.
He graduated from Clifton High School. He served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was a custom harvester. He was united in marriage to Esther E. Trybom on Aug. 25, 1969.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Merle Lahodny, and one brother, Lonnie Lahodny.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Lahodny of Concordia, Kan., one stepson, Steve (Cindy) Kahrs of Clay Center, Kan., one stepdaughter, Arlene Haden of Nickerson, Kan., seven stepgrandchildren, fourteen great-stepgrandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Sat., Dec. 28, 2013 at Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Kan., conducted by Kent Otott.
Memorials may be given to Family Choice. Friends may sign the register book with the family present to receive friends on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville.
