GERALD R. THOMAN


 Gerald R. Thoman, age 59, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia. He was born on Oct. 24, 1953, in Concordia, Kan., to Wilfred "Tommy" and Margaret Jane (Charbonneau) Thoman.
Gerald attended Dist. 93 Salt Marsh country school and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1972. Gerald graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1976. He married Marilyn Sorell on June 4, 1977, in Concordia. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching sports on TV. He enjoyed spending Saturday mornings at McDonald's with his grandson, Dylan and playing board games with his granddaughter, Zaide. Gerald attended most high school sporting events so he could watch his daughter, Ashley, dance and his boys playing football and telling jokes.
 Gerald is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sons, Doug Thoman and wife Holly of Concordia and Brian Thoman and wife Casey of Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter, Ashley Thoman, Hays; mother, Jane, Jamestown; brothers, Gary and wife Vicky of Scandia; Chris and wife Christine of Derby; Tom and wife Dawn of Jamestown; sisters, Linda Revell of Jamestown and Ronda Thoman of Concordia; grandchildren, Zaide and Dylan Thoman, Concordia, and Morgan Thoman, Indianapolis, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilfred; brothers, Barry and Jeff and sister, Kelly.
 Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Lager officiating. Burial will follow the services at the St. Concordia Cemetery. The family selected cremation and friends may sign the register book from 12-6 p.m. with family greeting friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
