GLENDA SUE (WOODMAN) NELSON
Glenda Sue (Woodman) Nelson, age 70, of Concordia, Kan., formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Cloud County Health Center.
She was born May 3, 1943, to Glen and Marie (Kasl) Woodman at Belleville, Kan. Glenda married Jim Nelson on Dec. 3, 1966, at Concordia, Kan. She was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church, sang in the choir and was a greeter; a member of Rebekah Lodge for 25 years and VFW Auxiliary.
Glenda is survived by four sons: Martin (Lucila), Concordia, Kan.; Tony, Concordia, Kan.; James Eric (Justine), Cordell, Okla.; Glenn Charles (Theresa), Jamestown, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by husband Jim, Dec. 22, 2012; parents, one sister and one granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Jamestown United Methodist Church with Randy Whitley officiating. Burial will be in Saron Baptist Cemetery, rural Jamestown. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Nutter Mortuary Chapel from 2-8 p.m. with family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Glenda Nelson Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date.
