HARVEY "GENE" Eugene Hoelscher, 84, Sutton, Neb., died Nov. 18, 2012, at Mary Lanning HealthCare in Hastings, Neb. He was born Oct. 15, 1928, to Harvey and Daisey (Ross) Hoelscher in rural LaCrosse, Kan. He was a lifelong trucker and served as a Medic in US Army. He married Ava Chritton in Concordia, Kan. on June 26, 1954. Survivors: wife of 58 years, Ava; sons, Brad & Trent; daughters, Brenda Manning, Lori Rasmussen, Vicki Softley, & Dawn Claus; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, one brother, three grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m., Nov. 23, Federated Church, Sutton, Neb. No visitation. Private inurnment at a later date.
