JO E. GLENN

 JO E. GLENN
 Jo E. Glenn, 88 years of age, Concordia, formerly of Clifton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. He was born on Feb. 24, 1925, in Clay County to William and Ellen (Shutt) Glenn. Jo served his country in the United States Army. Jo was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
 Jo married Bernice Rickley on Sept. 3, 1946, in Clay Center. She passed away on March 24, 1972. He then married Jean (Ferron) Arpin on Oct. 1, 1974. She passed away on Sept. 6, 2012.
Jo was a member of the American Legion Post #76, VFW Post #588 and Military Order of the Purple Heart in Salina. He was well recognized for being the grower at Matthew Greenhouses for 47 years. Jo loved his family and playing music.
 Jo is survived by a son, J. Ed Glenn and wife Cheryl of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Mary Gonzales and husband Sabas of Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Patricia Walker and husband James DVM of Concordia, Susan Bechard and husband Steven of Clifton; 12 grandchildren, Bill Genereux, Melinda Schowengerdt, James Glenn, Heather McFeely, Rachel Glenn, Andrew York, Amanda York, Lisa Kuhn, Mary Gutierrez, April Fahey, Bradley Bechard, Devin Bechard; 15 great-garndchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; both spouses; a daughter, Bernita Genereux; brother, James Glenn; and a sister, Marvel Kissick.
 Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clifton with the Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. Interment with Military Rites will be at approximately 1 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, with a vigil service at 6 p.m. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the American Legion or St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.chaputbuoy.com. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia is in charge of arrangements.
