VESTA L. CONN
Vesta L. Conn, 100 years of age, of Randall, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, at Sunset Nursing Center in Concordia. She was born on May 13, 1912, in Beloit to Andrew and Elva (Van Scoyk) Guipre. Vesta graduated from Asherville High School in 1931. She married Keith Conn on Aug. 30, 1939. Vesta and Keith lived on a farm in the Scottsville area. They later moved to Randall where Vesta enjoyed being a farmwife all of her life. She attended Randall Community Chuch and was a member of UCW of Randall and Present Prairie Ladies Aide. Vesta had a passion for bowling and quilting.
Vesta is survived by two sons, Darrel Conn and wife Rita of Beloit, Dennis Conn of Randall; daughter, Delores Blochlinger and husband Paul of Concordia; nine grandchildren, Sherri Biery and husband Steve, Brendan Conn, Sandy Zamecnik and husband John, Brad Blochlinger, Julie Bolte and husband Frank, Dusty Conn, Jennifer Flavin and husband Kelly, Chris Conn and wife Jamie, Jackie Cooper and husband Kade; 22 great-grandchilden; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Keith; daughter-in-law, Norma Conn; brother, Fred Guipre; and two sisters, Mavis Anderson and Louise Hughes.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in the Randall Community Church in Randall with the Rev. Dan Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Randall Cemetery in Randall. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, with family greeting friends from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.chaputbuoy.com. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia in charge of arrangements.
