CAROLYN JO JASTER

CAROLYN JO JASTER
Carolyn Jo Jaster, 58, of Salina, died Friday, March 15, 2013. She was born March 4, 1955, in Kinsley, Kan. A graduate of Pratt High School, she attended Friends Bible College in Haviland, Kan., one year, then graduated from Wesley School of Nursing in 1976.
Carolyn was a beautiful woman of God pursuing Him in studying His word, service to her family and all those she met. She was first a wonderfully nurturing mother and loving wife, but also an invaluable co-worker with her spouse Paul in their shared love of teaching/medical work in Tanzania, Kenya, the horn of Africa and the intervening years of work in the U.S. She will be remembered and greatly missed for her gentle nature, kind spirit, love and hospitality to others. She loved homeschooling, Bible studies and Moms in Touch prayer groups and even started groups in Kenya. Philippians 4:4-9 describes her well. She shared the gospel with her life.
Though not a smoker her life was ended after seven months of battling lung cancer without complaining. Her family is consoled knowing that she is now truly home with our precious savior, Jesus Christ.
Surviving: spouse, Dr. Paul; children, Christina, Joseph, Emily, Ben, Sarah; parents, Fred and Drula McKinney; brother, Dwain. Preceded in death by her sister Dianne.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., March 22, at First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia Rd., Salina, Kan.
