 CHARLES W. HAMMON
 Charles W. Hammon, age 80, died Thursday, Aug 15, 2013, in Topeka, Kan.  He was born on Oct. 14, 1932, in Ft. Scott, Kan., to Frederick & Mable (Hudson) Hammon.
 He graduated from Fulton High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  Charles worked for AT&T Long Lines for 32 years in cable line construction and maintenance until his retirement in 1983 as a Communication Technician.  He was a member of the VFW Post #588, American Legion Post #76, Telephone Pioneers of America and attended the Wesleyan Church.  Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and liked to fish and travel.
  He is survived by his son, Charles Hammon and wife Air, Wichita; daughters: Linda Kay Hammon and Charlotte Justyna and husband Paul, Concordia; sister, Merna Seyler and husband, Ed, Ottawa; brother, Robert Hammon and wife Vicki, Wellsville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cleta & Juanita and brothers, Merle and Fred.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Burns officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9  p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, with Military Honors by American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588.  The family suggest memorials to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.  For online condolences, please visit http://www.chaputbuoy.com/.
