CHS golfers place fourth

SALINA — Competing against a number of bigger schools, the Concordia High School girls’ golf team placed fourth in the Salina Central Invitational Tuesday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.
Concordia finished with a 199.
Manhattan won the tournament with a 178. Hays finished second with a 185 and Salina Central was third with a 196.
Autaum Poley and Stormie Hittle each shot 47 for Concordia to finish in a tie for 10th place in the tournament.
Lexi Pauls, Newton, was awarded 10th place based on a scorecard playoff.
Janae Champlin carded a 49 for Concordia.
Bailey Strait rounded out the top four for the Panthers with a 57.
Kaitlin Herrick shot 58 for Concordia. Kayla Dvorak had a 61.
Kyle McCarthy, Manhattan; Alissa Kim, Salina Central; and Hannah Devane, Manhattan, shot 40.
McCarthy earned medalist honors. Kim was second and Devane was third.
In the par 3 tournament, Concordia’s Allayna Hanson shot a 30 to place 11th.
Kaelyn Ade and Maddi Peltier each shot 34 for the Panthers.
Kora Snavely and Tora Vanous finished with 35 and Sam Sicard had a 45.
Bailey Jordan, Hays, had the low score with a 25.
