MARYSVILLE — Concordia picked up a pair of first place medals and placed second as a team in the tennis triangular here on Friday.
Isaac Sprague playing #2 singles defeated Levi Johansen of Hiawatha 8-0 and defeated Andrew Frese of Marysville 8-6 to finish first.
The #2 doubles team of Andrew Sheely and Logan Whitney also finished first, defeating Brandon Hum and Justin Waring of Hiawatha 8-0 and Tony Hooyer and Jacob Drey of Marysville 8-7(7-4).
Joel Timme placed second in the #1 singles defeating Derek Saul of Hiawatha 8-5 before losing to Tanner Wright of Marysville, 8-5.
Concordia's #1 doubles team of Romy Rohovit and Tristin Morgan defeated Austin Irwin and Dillion Thompson of Hiawatha 8-0 and lost to Garrison Wright and Joe McNish of Marysville 8-5.
Concordia placed second overall with 14 points.
Marysville won the meet with 16 points.
“We had a nice triangular meet in Marysville,” said Panther coach Steve Mitchell. “This was the first time to see Marysville this year, and we matched up well against them.”
