CJHS wrestlers split

MARYSVILLE — The Concordia junior high wrestling team split a pair of North Central Kansas League duals on Tuesday.
Concordia lost to Marysville 49-40, and defeated Wamego 60-42.
Panthers going 2-0 in the duals include:
Blake Leiszler, 80 pounds; Timmy Lambert, 95 pounds; Zach Strait, 100 pounds; Tryston Jochems, 127 pounds; Rope Dorman, 134 pounds; and Brent Beaumont, 180 pounds.
Carson McMillan, 85 pounds; Keaton Rudolph, 120 pounds; Matias Gutierrez, 141 pounds; and Austin Higbee, 265 pounds, were 1-1.
Alex Bonebrake, 105 pounds, was 0-2.
"It was nice to get a team win going into Thanksgiving break. The boys are improving from both the top and bottom positions. We still aren't where we need to be from the neutral position. After break, we have a full week of practice and some time to work on our takedowns before the next meet," Concordia coach Doug Moore said.
In junior varsity matches, Tyler Kearn, 100 pounds, was 1-0. Shaheed Darden, 134 pounds, and Chance LeDuc, 180 pounds, were each 1-1.
