 CLEO GAIL BARTON
 Cleo Gail Barton, 83, Jamestown, Kan., passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit.
 He was born Dec. 3, 1929, on a farm south of Tabor, to Frank and Tillie (Bednar) Barton. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951–1953 and received an honorable discharge and was awarded several medals, including the Purple Heart.
 He was a lifelong member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and D.A.V.  He was a longtime barber in Jamestown. Cleo & Irene (Schmitt) Barton were married on January 12th, 1957, in Tipton.
 Cleo is survived by his wife, Irene, & 6 children, Annette (Dennis) Boddy, Manhattan; Nelson Barton, Manhattan; Marietta (Dave) Wilson of La Crosse; Roger (Mary Jane) Barton, Valley Center; Patty (Kurt) Zimmer, Jamestown; Curt (Kathi) Barton, Salina; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
 He is preceded in death by a son Dwann; his parents; a brother Alvin; and a sister Lillian Hanel.
 Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, with the Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating.
 Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Jamestown with Military Rites by the American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588.
