Cloud County can't overcome deficit

Cloud County, unable to erase a 4-0 deficit, lost 5-3 to Maple Woods Community College in a home match on Tuesday.
Maple Woods got out to a 2-0 lead in the first half on the Thunderbirds.
Scoring two early goals in the second half, the Monarchs pushed the lead to 4-0.
Cloud County (2-2) knocked in three consecutive goals to trim the deficit to 4-3.
Gefte Blanc scored the first goal for the T-Birds.
A goal by Alex Staines made it 4-3.
Marco Nizarala punched in a goal and Cloud County trailed just 4-3.
Maple Woods secured the win by scoring to go up 5-3.
Cloud County was hit with five yellow cards and a red card in the loss.

The Cloud County women shook off an early Maple Woods’ goal to pick up a 2-1 victory.
Maple Woods scored its lone goal in the first minute of the match.

Georgia Walters converted on a penalty kick with about 25 minutes to play in the match to pull Cloud County even at 1-1.
