Concordia gymnasts win all-around titles

ORLANDO, Fla. — Two gymnasts from the Concordia Gymnastic Center captured all-around titles in the Missouri Valley District division of the AAU Gymnastic National Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World resort.
Karody Kadel, Beloit, won the all-around in the Level 3 Age 8 divsion with a score of 38.05.
Sierra Gropp, Concordia, finished with a score of 36.8 to claim the all-around title in the Level 5 Age 10 division. It was her second straight national championship.
The Concordia Gymnastic Center had six gymnasts competing in the meet. There were 108 gymnasts in the Missouri Valley District.
Kadel’s scores and placings in each event include: Vault, 9.575, fifth; bars, 9.5, tied fourth; beam, 9.475, first; and floor exercise, 9.5, fifth.
Gropp’s scores and placings include: Vault, 9.05, second; bars, 9.375, first; beam, 9.1, tied fourth; floor exercise, 9.275, second.
Alison Snyder, Concordia, placed second in the all-around in the Level 4 Age 8 division with a score of 37.4. Her scores and placings include: Vault, 9.24, fourth; bars, 9.275, second; beam, 9.45, third; floor exercise, 9.425, fourth.
Jada Zollinger, Belleville, finished fourth in the all-around in Level 3 Age 8 with a score of 37.175. Her scores and placings include: Vault, 9.7, tied first; bars, 9.0, 15th; beam, 9.225, eighth; floor exercise, 9.25, sixth.
Jackie Hinzman, Concordia, scored 36.775 to place ninth in the all-around in Level 3 Age 8. Her scores and placings include: Vault, 9.475, fourth; bars, 8.8, 19th; beam, 9.025, 15th; floor exercse, 9.475, second.
Derica Reed, Clyde, was 11th in the all-around in the Level 4 Age 10 with a score of 35.55.  Her scores and placings include: Vault, 9.125, tied eighth; bars, 8.65, 11th; beam, 8.65, 16th; floor exercise, 9.125, eighth.
The gymnasts are coached by Kendra Krier and Traci Snyder.
