F&A pitching allows just one run

CLAY CENTER — Trevor Tholstrup and Colby Trost allowed just one run in two games as F&A Food Sales beat Clay Center Orange twice in a K-18 Baseball doubleheader on Friday.
Tholstrup gave up one run on four hits in a 6-1 victory in game one. He struck out seven and walked two.
Trost shut out Clay Center as F&A Food Sales won the second game 11-0. He gave up four hits, struck out four and walked one.
In the first game, F&A Food Sales took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
Ian Nordell led off the inning with a home run.
Ethan Bechard walked and scored and Tholstrup singled and scored.
Clay Center scored its only run in the bottom of the first inning.
F&A Food Sales pushed the lead to 5-1 with two runs in the third inning.
Trost and Tholstrup each singled and scored.
Caleb Strait walked and singled and scored in the top  of the fifth to make it 6-1.
Tholstrup had two hits and scored two runs in the game.
Strait had three hits.
Trost had two hits.
F&A Food Sales scored one run in the first inning in game two.
Trost singled and scored in the inning.
Batting around in the second inning, F&A Food Sales put up five runs to open up a 6-0 lead.
One run in the third inning put F&A Food Sales up 7-0.
Garrett Lawrence homered in a four-run fourth inning for F&A Food Sales.
The game ended after four innings.
Trost and Strait scored two runs each in the game.
Bechard had two hits.
