Concordia voters made a mistake when we built the Elementary School with no safe shelter. It was money over safety. We have a chance to right that wrong on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Kansas ranks #3 for frequency of tornadoes. This school will hold classes for decades to come. We cannot keep playing Russian Roulette with peoples lives hoping it won’t happen here.
Kansas has been hit with many disasters involving schools and weather in the last several years. It’s time for a safe shelter at CES. This would also benefit the hundreds of people at the Sports Complex every evening in June and July.
When you hear people from these disasters say, “It just dropped on us out of nowhere” or “We only had minutes to react,” it would be great for me to take everyone right across the street to safety.
The superintendent and board members of U.S.D. 333 are doing a great job as stewards of our tax dollars. When our schools need attention, they address the problem. It’s not always popular with the voters. But if you let things go, it becomes more and more expensive to get it done later. We have a chance of forty percent of this project to be paid by the State. There is not a better time. Please get out and vote YES.
