Dear Editor,
This is in regard to the sales tax for a new hospital. What I cannot understand is NO ONE wants taxes raised; but, however, they’ll go to Salina to go shopping and pay Salina’s higher sales tax. I lived there for 20 years. The cost of living is a lot higher there. We as a community, town, have an opportunity to get a new hospital. If we don’t get on board and let it happen, our town will lose money, cause people will have to seek medical treatment out of town, and I firmly believe with a new hospital, it will generate revenue for Concordia. It’s sad that they think we need a new jail before the hospital is built.
Thanks,
LeRoy Parks
