Gabe Bergmann and Trevor Nordell were presented awards during the Lions Club Football Banquet, to honor the Concordia High School football team, Monday night at the Catholic Parish Hall.
Bergmann, a 6-4, 245-pound tight end/defensive end, received the Keith Christensen Outstanding Senior Lineman Award.
Nordell, a 6-2, 190-pound runningback/defensive back, was selected as the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Offensive Player Award in memory of Trevor Gennette.
Bergmann, a first team All-North Central Kansas League selection offense and defense, had four catches for 56 yards. He finished the season with 77 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss.
Nordell ranked third in the League in rushing with 934 yards on 143 carries with 10 touchdowns. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry. He was an all-League pick on defense.
Concordia finished the season 8-3.
The Panthers won a third consecutive Class 4A district championship and advanced to the second round of the state playoffs before losing to Buhler.
