MABEL MARIE BISNETT
Mabel Marie Bisnett, 98, Beloit, (formerly of Aurora), died July 23, 2010, at Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit.
She was born Sept. 4, 1911, to Frank and Mary (Hamel) Budreau, at her grandparents’ farm north of Clifton in Washington County. She was raised by her grandmother, Mary Bisnett and attended schools in Cloud County. She married George E. Bisnett at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Rectory in Concordia Oct. 6, 1926. They farmed in Cloud County and the Aurora area their entire life until George preceded her in death on July 9, 1981. Mabel was a homemaker but also worked at the St. Joseph Hospital in the laundry and housekeeping department. Mabel also did wallpapering, textile painting, embroidering and played BINGO. After she gave up driving a car, her greatest enjoyment was a good game of cards.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Allison and Louise Sutton (Jim) of Beloit; a son, Delmar Bisnett (Phyllis) of Hoyt; a daughter-in-law Connie Bisnett, Hoyt; 10 grandchildren, Khris Douglas, Brian, Mark and Robert Dillner, Karen Brinker, Anita Mellies, Paula Bouley, Mike Bisnett, Vicky Bisnett and Vera Kozubek; 23 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; sons, Raymond Bisnett and wife Ann and Virgil; grandsons, Randy and David Bisnett; granddaughters, Kathleen Dillner and Pennie Bisnett; great-grandson, Ryan Kozubek; five brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia, with the Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating.
