CHANUTE — Neosho County scored a goal with under seven minutes to play to slip past Cloud County 2-1 in men’s soccer play on Sunday.
The match was scoreless until a Neosho County goal in the 52nd minute.
Cloud County, now 8-8 overall and 5-3 in the Jayhawk Conference, tied it at 1-1 on a goal by Marco Nizarala in the 67th minute.
Neosho County, 10-4-1 overall and 3-3-1 in Conference play, scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute.

The Cloud County women fell to 3-9-0 overall and 0-9 in Conference play with a 6-3 loss to Neosho County.
The Thunderbirds trailed 4-3 at halftime.
Danae Gennette, a freshman from Concordia, scored two of Cloud County’s goals.
Sterling Torres knocked in a goal for the T-Birds.
Neosho County, 39-1 overall and 2-7-1 in the Conference, tacked on two goals in the second half and shut out the T-Birds.
The Cloud County men and women will host Dodge City Community College on Saturday.
