Seventh grade cruises past Republic County

BELLEVILLE — Racing to a 31-2 halftime lead, the Concordia seventh grade girls' basketball team cruised past Republic County 46-13 in the final game of the regular season Thursday.
Concordia led 9-2 after one quarter of play.
The Panthers poured in 22 points in the second period, and shut out Republic County, to open up the 31-2 advantage.
Concordia outscored Republic County 10-7 in the third quarter to make it a 41-9 game.
The Panthers added five points in the final period to four for Republic County.
Mykah Eshbaugh paced the Panthers with 18 points.
Katlynn Miller scored seven points for Concordia.
The Panthers play in the North Central Kansas League tournament next week.
