Seventh grade defeats Republic County

The Concordia seventh grade girls’ basketball team capped off its regular season by defeating Republic County 22-14 Thursday at the Concordia Elementary School.
Concordia had a 5-1 lead after one quarter of play.
Each team scored four points in the second period, and the Panthers were up 9-5 at halftime.
Concordia gave up just two points in the third quarter, and scored seven to make it a 16-7 game.
The Panthers added six points in the final period, and Republic County scored seven.
Cydney Bergmann paced the Panthers with 13 points. Jessica Williams added four points.
Concordia will play in the North Central Kansas League tournament in Clay Center next week.
