CHAPMAN — Concordia High School junior Isaac Sprague recorded a second-place finish in the junior-senior division of the Chapman Invitational cross country meet Thursday at Indian Hills Golf Course.
Sprague turned in a time of 18:13.90.
Kent Chrest, Wamego, won the race in 18:10.34.
Concordia’s Cody Schmitz finished 17th in the race in 20:23.87. Marcel Rimrodt was 18th in 21:06.66.
Olivia Leif placed third for Concordia in the girls’ junior-senior race with a time of 18:19.66.
Tori Reed crossed right behind Leif in fourth place with a time of 18:39.03.
Kirstyn Dvorak finished eighth in 21:25.20, and Jackelin Garcia was 16th in 25:15.37.
Allison Seufert, Wamego, ran 16:49.92 to win the race.
Concordia’s Devin Kymer ran 20:28.88 to finish 10th in the freshman-sophomore boys’ race.
Connor Reynolds placed 17th in 21:25.61.
Josh Timme finished 20th in 21:53.75.
Gavin Shuler ran 23:33.70 to place 26th.
Paul Frost was 38th in 35:51.47, and Caleb Hartzell was 41st in 26:42.27.
Jacob Davis, Wamego, finished first in 18:10.99.
Maggie Lambert placed fifth in the girls’ freshman-sophomore race for Concordia with a time of 18:27.38.
Hunter Mendenhall finished sixth in 18:34.18.
Mallory Thompson was seventh in 18:34.18.
Amber Hahn, Chapman, placed first in 17:18.57.
Concordia had Nicole Timme place sixth in the eighth grade girls’ race. She ran 14:09.96 on the 3,200-meter course.
Britney Gilkeson placed eighth in 14:33.58.
Briana Kennedy finished 16th in 15:17.06.
Brittney Kennedy was 26th in 16:09.47.
Concordia’s Kyler Caspers was 17th in boy’s eighth grade race in 14:09.35.
Cierra Kennedy ran 6:37.20 to place third for Concordia in the girls’ seventh grade race.
Callahan Figgs was fifth in 6:40.82 on the 1,600-meter course.
Tori Marsh placed 32nd in 7:30.78, and Desiree Hemenway was 47th in 8:03.75.
Andrew Mason placed 63rd for Concordia in the boys’ seventh grade race in 8:29.65.
