Strommen no-hits Linn

 Will Strommen and Ryan Perkins gave up just two hits over eight innings as the Concordia Blues swept an American Legion Baseball doubleheader from Linn Tuesday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
 Strommen tossed a four inning no-hitter in Concordia’s 16-0 victory in the first game. He struck out three and walked three.
 The Blues won the second game 10-0 behind a two-hitter by Perkins. He struck out four and walked one.
Concordia, now 17-1, will play at Clay Center tonight.
 The Blues split a pair of games with Marysville on Sunday, winning the first game 8-7, and suffering their first loss of the season in the second game, 6-4.
 In game one against Linn, the Blues got out to a 12-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
 Nathan Gieber had two singles, drove in three runs and scored two in the inning.
Bowe Behymer doubled, reached base on an error and scored two runs.
Connor Eilert singled and doubled and Trey Dubbert scored two runs.
 The Blues tacked on four runs in the third inning.
 Trevor Nordell reached base on an error. Dubbert and Perkins walked.
 Vince Woodcox singled home two runs.
Braden Johnson singled, and Behymer knocked in a run with a single, and it was 16-0.
 Linn loaded the bases in the top of the fourth inning on an error and two walks, but Strommen finished off the no-hitter with a strikeout.
 Behymer, Gieber and Eilert had two hits each for Concordia.
 The second game was scoreless heading into the bottom of the second inning when Skyler Hittle singled and scored.
 The Blues extended the lead to 6-0 with five runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Nordell had a two-run triple in the inning.
 Scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, Concordia ended the game because of the 10-run rule.
 With two out, Hittle and Nordell singled and an error on a ball hit by Woodcox allowed two runs to score.
 Eilert followed with a single, and Dubbert tripled.
 Hittle had two hits and scored three runs.
Nordell was 2-for-3 at the plate. He drove in two runs and scored two.
Dubbert had a pair of hits.
 In the first game against Marysville on Sunday, the Blues trailed 7-5 heading into the top of the seventh inning.
Strommen led off with a single and scored on a triple by Dubbert.
Behymer singled home a run. He scored on a single by Gieber to put Concordia up 8-7.
Hittle pitched a scoreless seventh to get the win.
 Behymer had four hits and scored three runs.
 Gieber had three hits and drove in three runs.
 Hittle had two hits and knocked in two runs.
Eilert had two hits.
In the second game, Marysville took a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
 Concordia scored one run in the third and one in the top of the fourth to pull even at 2-2.
 One run in the bottom of the fourth and three in the fifth gave Marysville the lead back at 6-2.
 Gieber doubled in two runs in the top of the sixth inning to make it 6-4.
 The Blues left the bases loaded in the seventh.
 Concordia was limited to two hits in the game.
