T-Birds open season 2-2

BEATRICE, Neb. — The Cloud County Community College volleyball team opened its season by going 2-2 in the RKP Invitational hosted by Southeast Community College on Friday and Saturday.
Cloud County fell in four sets to Southeast Community College, 25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-18.
Erin Terrell had 21 kills and three blocks for the Thunderbirds.
Monica Long added nine kills.
Emily Brown finished with 11 digs.
Kylie Penning had 45 assists.
Cloud County went five sets to defeat McCook Community College, 22-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-11, 15-12.
Terrell had 25 kills in the win.
Long had 12 kills and Josie Hale had 10.
Brown finished with 18 digs.
Penning had 35 assists and eight digs.
Southwestern Community College downed Cloud County in four sets, 22-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-19.
Terrell finished with 17 kills.
Long had 11 kills. Hale had 10 kills and Emily Webb had eight kills.
Brown had 13 digs.
Penning finished with 54 assists.
Cloud County evened its record by beating Northeast Community College in four sets, 25-14, 15-25, 26-24, 27-25.
