THERESA (MARCOTTE) SPORE
Theresa (Marcotte) Spore, 59, Springfield, Mo., died March 6, 2010, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo.
She was born June 27, 1950, in Concordia, Kan., to Francis L. and Dorothy L. (Schrandt) Marcotte. Theresa graduated from Concordia High School in 1968. She married Dan McManigal on April 19, 1969. Theresa worked as a secretary for the IRS for 22 years. Theresa later married Guy J. (Jeff) Spore on May 29, 1998, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Springfield, Mo. Theresa enjoyed cooking, entertaining guests, music, exercise, outdoor activities, breast cancer walks and fundraisers and especially spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Guy J. Spore of Springfield, Mo.; a daughter, Debora May and husband Jason of Pratt, Kan.; a son, Dan McManigal Jr. and wife Jolene of Louisburg, Kan.; one brother, Mike Marcotte of Aurora, Kan.; four sisters, Beverly Collette and husband Don of Kansas City, Mo.; Janice Hattan and husband Greg and Jeanette Deneault and husband Don, all of Concordia; Janell Goedert and husband Joe of Ottawa, Kan.; parents-in-law, Wayne and Juanita Spore of Plainville, Kan.; grandchildren: Hayden, Grant and Grace May, Pratt, Kan.; Ashlyn and Colin McManigal, Louisburg, Kan.; nieces and nephews: Terra Revell, Christina Hamlin, Jeremy, Jacob, Amber, Shawn and Stacy Marcotte, Amy LeClair, Cherie Scott, Jenee Collette, Christal Widman, Justin and Jennifer Hattan, Dustin, Nick and Christa Deneault, Stephanie Hays, Jared, Keaton, Corbin and Connor Goedert, Amy Buggenhagen and Scott and Megan Johnston.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kan., with the Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Aurora, Kan.
Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Alcoholics Anonymous.
