Big second half leads to win for eighth grade girls
Concordia used a big second half to defeat Beloit 37-27 in eighth grade girls’ basketball play Monday at the Concordia Elementary School.
Trailing 15-10 at halftime, the Panthers outscored Beloit 12-5 in the third quarter to go up 22-20.
Concordia pumped in 15 points in the final period, and limited Beloit to seven points, to secure the 10-point win.
Cydney Bergmann led the way for the Panthers with 23 points.
Peyton Reynolds and Britney Gilkeson scored four points each.
The Concordia B-team blasted Beloit, 43-15.
Concordia had a 24-6 lead at halftime.
The Panthers added 19 points in the second half and gave up just nine.
Jessica Romo paced Concordia with 10 points.
Brynn Brummett scored seven points for the Panthers, and Kali Harvey added six points.
