CHS cross country puts six in top six

CHAPMAN—Running in a race that kept no team scores, the Concordia High School cross country team had six runners in the top six of their respective divisions at the Chapman Invitational here yesterday.
The Panthers had the top finishers in both the boys and girls 11th and 12th grade races.
Garet Koester won the boys 11th and 12th grade race with a time of 17:22.61.
Courtney Monzon edged teammate Katie Lambert to win the girls 11th and 12th grade race. She toured the course in 16:24.86; Lambert was second in 16:47.81.
Katie Thompson was fourth in the race with a time of 17:47.31 and Olivia Leif was sixth in a time of 18:58.04.
Jackelin Garcia ran 24:28 and finished 16th.
Isaac Sprague placed second in the 9th and 10th grade race in a time of 18:11.05.
Connor Reynolds ran 21:27.60 and finished 16th and Benjamin Strommen finished 22nd in a time of 22:03.6
Bailey Kymer was 15th in the boys 11th and 12th grade race in a time of 19:14.19.
Daniel Longfellow was 20th with a time of 19:44.29; Micah Fabarez was 23rd with a time of 20:01.06; Cody Schmitz ran 20:42.87 and placed 27th and Umberto Ragni ran 21:01.65 and finished 32nd.
Kirstyn Dvorak finished 16th in the 9th and 10th grade girls race in a time of 19:37.57.
The Panthers will compete in the NCKL meet in Wamego next Thursday.
