CHS grad picks up third win for WSU

WICHITA — Freshman Garrett Brummett allowed one run on four hits in six innings to lead the Wichita State University baseball team to a 4-1 Missouri Valley Conference win over Creighton Sunday at Eck Stadium.
 Brummett, a 2012 Concordia High School graduate, struck out three and didn’t walk any in his fourth start of the season.
 With the win, Brummett is now 3-0 with a 1.57 earned run average. He has pitched 28 2/3 innings and allowed five runs on 21 hits. He has struck out 13 and walked seven.
