CHS places 12th in Salina South tourney

SALINA — Playing a second tournament in two days, the Concordia High School girls’ golf team finished 12th in a field of Class 5A and 6A in the Salina South Invitational Tuesday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course.
Concordia recorded a team score of 427.
Maize won the team title with a 318. Manhattan finished second with a 331 and Goddard was third with a 332.
Concordia was led by Stormie Hittle, who had rounds of 45-51 to finish with a 96.
Autaum Poley shot 54-52 for a 106.
Bailey Strait carded a 112 with 53-59.
Janae Champlin rounded out the top four for the Panthers with a 59-54 for a 113.
Kayla Dvorak shot 120 for the Panthers.
Kaitlin Herrick shot 128.
Taelyn Entriken, Maize, shot a 3-under-par 67 to earn medalist honors.
Taryn Torgeson, Buhler, finished second with a 1-under-par 69.
