Cloud Juniors place second

EMPORIA– Concordia’s Cloud Juniors 13’s volleyball team placed second in the Flint Hills Classic.
Cloud posted a 5-1 record in pool play.
The Juniors defeated Heartland Juniors VBC 13-6, 25-21, 25-14 in the quarterfinals, and then got past Heartland Juniors VBC 13-4, 25-24, 25-22 in the semifinals.
Kansas Volleyball Club 13-4 downed Cloud 24-26, 25-22, 15-13 in the championship match.
In pool play, the Juniors split with Kansas Krush 25-17, 25-22, beat Flint Hills Shock VB twice 25-15, 25-13, and won two matches over Heartland Juniors VBC 13-5, 25-11, 25-17.
Cloud Juniors team members include Laken Schroeder, Jessica Williams, Mykah Eshbaugh, Emily Coffman, Brynn Brummett, Peyton Reynolds and Jaden Champlin. Coaches are Jennifer Schroeder and Carrie Williams.
