Eighth grade falls short at Marysville

MARYSVILLE — The Concordia eighth grade girls’ basketball team was beaten by Marysville 37-22 on Thursday.
The game was tied at 9-9 after one quarter of play.
Marysville doubled up Concordia 10-5 in the second period to grab a 19-14 halftime lead.
 Outscored 8-4 in the third quarter, the Panthers trailed 27-18.
Marysville added 10 points in the final quarter to four for Concordia.
Cydney Bergmann scored 16 points for the Panthers. Peyton Reynolds added six points.
The Concordia B-team defeated Marysville, 22-14.
Concordia had an 8-7 lead at halftime.
The Panthers pumped in 14 points in the second half, and limited Marysville to seven points.
 Jessica Romo led Concordia with 11 points.
 Lauren Trecek scored six points for the Panthers.
