Eighth grade girls lose to Salina South
SALINA — The Concordia eighth grade girls' basketball team was beaten 48-19 by Salina South on Monday.
Concordia trailed 8-4 after one quarter of play.
Salina South doubled up the Panthers, 16-8, in the second stanza to make it 24-12.
Concordia was outscored 11-4 in the third period, and trailed 35-6.
Salina South added 13 points in the final quarter to three for the Panthers.
Cydney Bergmann scored seven points for Concordia. Laken Schroeder finished with five points, and Peyton Reynolds added four points.
The Concordia B-team lost 28-17 to Salina South.
Salina South had an 18-4 halftime lead.
Concordia scored 13 points in the second half and gave up 10 points.
Carlie Barleen paced the Panthers with eight points. Emily Daniels scored four points.
