Eighth grade loses at Abilene
ABILENE — Abilene scored 28 first quarter points and never looked back as they outscored the Concordia eighth grade football team 42-20 here last night.
Concordia got on the board with a 62-yard run by Blaze Payeur in the first quarter.
Payeur added a 34-yard touchdown run and a PAT in the second quarter.
The score was 36-14 at the half.
The Cowboys added a score in the third quarter giving them a 42-14 lead.
Ian Nordell scored from four yards out in the fourth quarter for the 42-20 final.
Payeur had 143 yards rushing on 13 carries. Nordell added 80 yards on 14 carries.
The Panthers will face Clay Center in Concordia next Thursday.
