Eighth grade volleyball finishes second
ABILENE — Winning two matches, and losing two, the Concordia eighth grade volleyball team placed second in the North Central Kansas League Tournament on Saturday.
Concordia lost its first match of the tournament to Wamego, 25-19, 25-16.
The Panthers knocked off Chapman, 25-20, 25-5.
Concordia posted a 25-11, 25-22 victory over Clay Center.
Abilene got past the Panthers in three sets, 11-25, 25-21, 25-12.
“I am proud of the girls. They are a great group of girls to work with, and I look forward to seeing them in the future,” Concordia coach Laura Banda said.
