F&A Food Sales sweeps CNB

F&A Food Sales dominated the matchup of the two Concordia K-18 Baseball teams by sweeping a doubleheader from Citizens National Bank Friday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
Pounding out 11 hits, F&A Food Sales won the first game 13-2 in four innings.
Trevor Tholstrup shut Citizens National Bank out on two hits as F&A Food Sales won the second game 15-0 in three innings.
F&A Food Sales jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning in game one.
After a scoreless second inning, Citizens National Bank cut the deficit in half with two runs in the top of the third inning.
F&A Food Sales sent 13 batters to the plate and scored nine runs in the bottom of the third inning to go up 13-2.
Blaze Payeur had a single and double and scored two runs in the inning.
Tholstrup tripled and scored two runs.
Ethan Bechard was the winning pitcher for F&A Food Sales. He allowed two runs on three hits, struck out eight and walked six.
Isaac Meyer and Matthew James pitched for Citizens National Bank.
Payeur had three hits and scored three runs for F&A Food Sales.
Tholstrup scored three runs.
Bechard and Caleb Strait had two hits each.
In the second game, F&A Food Sales put up eight runs in the first inning.
Ian Nordell had two singles, drove in two runs and scored a run in the inning.
F&A Food Sales made it 13-0 with seven runs in the second inning and then added two runs in the third.
Tholstrup struck out six and didn’t walk any in getting the win.
Tyler Stupka and Kyle Bliss did the pitching for Citizens National Bank.
Nordell, Colby Trost, Logan Widen, Garrett Lawrence and Davin Strait scored two runs each for F&A Food Sales.
