F&A pounds out wins over Washington

F&A Food Sales pounded out two wins over Washington in a K-18 Baseball doubleheader Friday night at the Concordia Sports Complex.
A six-run fourth inning propelled F&A Food Sales to a 10-5 win in the first game.
F&A Food Sales completed the sweep with an 8-2 win the second game.
Washington got out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning in game one.
F&A Food Sales answered with two runs in the bottom of the first and one in the second to tie the game at 3-3.
Two runs in the top of the third inning gave Washington a 5-3 lead.
F&A Food Sales picked up one run in the bottom of the third, and then scored six in the fourth to go on top , 10-5.
Ethan Bechard and Blaze Payeur each doubled and scored in the inning.
Davin Strait and Dalton Walters singled and scored. Jacob Palmquist and Trevor Tholstrup walked and scored.
Ian Nordell and Trolstrup did the pitching for F&A Food Sales.
Walters had two hits and scored two runs.
Bechard scored two runs.
In the second game, F&A Food Sales put up two runs in the first inning and never trailed.
Four runs in the second inning, one in the third and one in the fourth gave F&A Food Sales an 8-0 lead.
Washington scored two runs in the top of the fifth.
Bechard pitched all five innings to get the win. He gave up two runs on three hits, struck out seven and walked one. He also had three hits and scored two runs.
Nordell had two hits and scored three runs.
Walters had three hits and Logan Widen had two hits.
