F&A shuts out Clay Center

CLAY CENTER — Trevor Tholstrup and Colby Trost gave up just four hits combined as F&A Food Sales shut out Clay Center Black twice in a K-18 Baseball doubleheader Monday night.
 Tholstrup allowed two hits in blanking Clay Center 10-0 in the first game. He struck out eight and walked three.
 Trost gave up two hits, struck out six and walked one as F&A Food Sales won the second game, 22-0.
 Ethan Bechard walked and scored a run in the top of the first inning in game one.
F&A Food Sales scored two runs in the third inning to make it 3-0.
 Taking advantage of seven walks, F&A Food Sales put up seven runs in the top of the fourth inning, and led 10-0.
 The game ended after four innings because of the 10-run rule.
Tholstrup had two hits in the game for F&A Food Sales.
 F&A Food Sales got out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning in game two.
One run in the second inning and six in the third gave F&A Food Sales a 13-0 advantage.
F&A Food Sales then tacked on nine runs on 10 hits in the top of the fourth to push the lead to 22-0.
Ethan Bechard had two hits and scored two runs in the inning.
Trost had a pair of doubles.
The game ended after four innings.

Dalton Walters had four hits and scored three runs.
Trost had two hits and scored three runs.
