F&A sweeps Washington

WASHINGTON — Giving up just two runs in two games, F&A Food Sales swept a K-18 Baseball doubleheader from Washington on Tuesday night.
Logan Widen tossed a shutout as F&A Food Sales won the first game of the twinbill, 4-0.
F&A Food Sales posted a 9-2 victory in the second game.
The first game was scoreless through three innings.
Blaze Payeur led off the top of the fourth inning with a walk, and came around to score the first run in the game.
Trevor Tholstrup singled and scored to give F&A Food Sales a 2-0 lead.
F&A Food Sales added two runs in the top of the fifth inning to go up 4-0.
Ian Nordell and Ethan Bechard each singled and scored in the inning.
Widen blanked Washington on six hits. He struck out four and walked one.
Colby Trost had two hits for F&A Food Sales.
In the second game, F&A Food Sales put up two runs in the top of the first inning, and never trailed.
Nordell doubled and scored and Bechard singled and scored.
Three runs in the second inning gave F&A Food Sales a 5-0 advantage.
Garrett Lawrence led off the inning with a home run.
Nordell singled and scored and Bechard doubled and scored.
F&A Food Sales made it 8-0 with two runs in the top of the third inning.
Nordell, Bechard and Kyle Boldridge each singled and scored in the inning.
Washington scored two runs in the bottom of the third.
Jacob Palmquist reached base on an error and scored a run in the fifth inning to put F&A Food Sales up 9-2.
Nordell pitched all five innings to get the win. He gave up two runs on three hits, struck out seven and walked three. He also had four hits and scored three runs.
Bechard had three hits and scored three runs.
