JV boys lose
Jumping out to a 42-18 halftime lead, the Wamego Red Raiders downed the Concordia Panthers 63-41 in junior varsity boys’ basketball play Friday night in the Concordia High School gymnasium.
Wamego led 22-9 at the end of the first quarter.
The Red Raiders pumped in 20 points in the second period, to nine for the Panthers, to make it 42-18 at halftime.
Wamego scored eight points in the third quarter, and Concordia added seven.
The Panthers tossed in 16 points in the final period to 13 for the Red Raiders.
Zach Hibbs led Concordia with 18 points.
Kaleb Pounds scored 12 for the Panthers.
