Panther golfers third at Abilene
ABILENE – The Concordia High School golf team led by Grant Holmes finished third in the Abilene Invitational on Tuesday.
The Panthers finished with a team score of 336 and finished behind Wamego (322) and Abilene (327).
Holmes shot 81 and finished in sixth place.
Marcus Willey was the tournament medalist with a 73.
Parker Waters of Wamego was second at 76, Ryan Kreutzer of Abilene third (78), Ryan Elder, Wamego fourth (78) and Cooper Spears, Wamego fifth (79).
Christian Wetter and Cooper Holmes each shot 84 for the Panthers.
Brennen Acree finished with an 87, James McCabe had 95, and Clay Boley shot 119.
The Panthers finished ahead of NCKL schools Clay Center (349) and Chapman (375) as well as El Dorado (342) and St. John's Military (403).
Concordia will be at Beloit on Thursday.
