Panthers drop league dual to Tigers
CLAY CENTER — The Clay Center Tigers defeated the Concordia Panthers 45-27 in a North Central Kansas League dual Thursday night.
Concordia suffered losses in the first three matches.
Taylon Whitley was pinned by Luke Martin in the 106-pound class.
Cole Larsen,113 pounds, lost a narrow 3-2 decision to Jake Wynn.
Brenton Edwards was pinned by Marty Robinson in the 120-pound class.
Cameron Miller picked up the Panthers' first win by pinning Triston Meadors in the 126-pound class.
Gage Canfield, 132 pounds, lost by decision to Hunter Mullin.
Tracer Workman pinned Adam Ebert in the 138-pound class.
Blaze Payeur, 145 pounds, was pinned by Grady Ware.
James McCabe, 152 pounds, lost by fall to Thomas Rickley.
Jared Knapp was pinned by Gabe Ware in the 160-pound class.
Logan Higbee suffered a 7-5 loss to James Herron in the 170-pound class.
Izaiah Grogan, 182 pounds, was pinned by Zeb Bloom.
Concordia picked up wins in the final three matches.
Skyler Hittle won by forfeit in the 195-pound class.
Kyle Marks, 220 pounds, defeated Evan Standlea, 7-5.
Zak Romo pinned Skylar Stecklein in the 285-pound class.
Concordia will compete in the Class 4A regional tournament in Colby on Feb. 21-22.
